AYURVEDA

Ayurveda is the traditional medicine of India and the oldest system of healthcare in the world. It is a system of both preventative and curative medicine that has been practiced for atleast 5,000 years. Ayurveda covers all aspects of healing- physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. It recognizes that the mind, body, and spirit are one unit. To ignore any of these aspects is to miss the whole and therefore ultimate healing can not take place. Ayurveda recognizes that we are not machines and each one of us is unique, so not one way of living is right for everyone. Therefore, Ayurveda gives us a variety of ways and tools to prevent and manage disease. Ayurveda includes all methods of healing from diet, herbs, exercise, routine management, lifestyle regimens to yogic practices and meditation. It teaches us to understand the language of nature and how to evolve not only for ourselves, but to benefit all living creatures. Ayurveda is the foundation for us to live in harmony within ourselves and the universe.

You may have been feeling a little or a lot out of balance and have tried everything under the sun, but nothing seems to work. You may feel a little overwhelmed or perhaps even burnt out. Whether you are struggling with hormonal imbalances, digestive troubles, weight issues, sleep issues, depression, stress, anxiety, anger, low energy, skin conditions, preparing/recovering from giving birth, or any other disease in the body and mind, Ayurveda provides the tools for relief and an understanding of why the symptoms are present in the first place.

Ayurveda is not only just a change in diet or taking a few medicinal herbs, but a majority of our work together is learning how and why to care for your body and mind.

Whether you are wanting to focus on treating a particular health issue or are simply looking to understand Ayurveda on a personal and practical level, Ayurveda consultations are the way to go. I correct imbalances through diet, herbs, routine management, body therapies, spiritual counseling, yoga, meditation, and self care practices. Our work together is entirely customized for you. Our sessions will have time for discussing, practicing, and learning. My main priority is that these ancient traditions support you in your modern lifestyle. Ayurveda is truly a way of life.
